EYE SPY: Booger Pickers

In some regards, booger picking is sort of a lost art – or better said, an art one can definitely get lost in.

Eye just Spy’d this booger picking vixen on my train ride home. Yes, she rolled it and flicked it like only a true master would.

THE ESCAPIST (in transit)

I could have died there,
steel rolling over my flesh
like wood over dough.

EYE SPY: uncomfortable situations

I don’t know about you but when I see someone talking to the train conductor during my commute I don’t feel comfortable. So, I’m “saying something.”

SLEEPLESS KNIGHTS

In the city that never sleeps, too often I find myself coming across men and women who don’t have anywhere to rest their heads. Be it from drugs, alcohol or general lack of housing, we have many people in New York who have no shelter.

It’s saddening and my heart goes out to them all. I’ve been capturing them in their moments of despair in hopes of building some small form awareness. What will come of it – I’ll never know but I feel it’s my duty to remind us all to be grateful for our “comfort zones.”

I now introduce you to a few “Sleepless Knights.”

EYE SPY: Life Underground

If your not familiar with the work of acclaimed American sculptor Tom Otterness, here’s an introduction that should inspire you to grab your hunting cap and begin your search for some killer art!

I’ve made it simple for you and taken some pics of the 14th street & 8th avenue station. Visit, touch the work, take pictures, blog about it but most importantly, go see it for yourself.

Enjoy!

Things That Make You Go

Are you going to let this thing slip out of your hand and knock me all the way back down this escalator? Should I really be reaching for my phone to take this pic? Whew, I made it 😉

Word to the wise – if your standing behind someone who keeps looking back at you as if their package is too heavy for them to hold while riding up an escalator, stand sideways.

Anything can happen 😉

Your Regularly Scheduled Headache

No matter what side of the platform your on, seeing this just makes you feel like you’re NEVER going to get home.

I’m almost starting to think the weekends should be spent in cabs – or just within walking distance.
