Haiku #888: Soul Food

I can taste the day
bursting with flavor and life
like food for my soul.

Haiku: 7 Daze

I could have died there
right in the midst of it all
seven days ago.

authors note:

I decided to use the “SE7EN” movie for visual effect because of the fact that I’d chosen a living so dilusional, it could only be understood in terms of a movie.

I’d committed every sin, disguised every fact and ignored every review of my behavior. Just before that movie ended and the credits rolled I made the decision to switch gears, reclaim the salvageable portions of my life that remained and try to become a person again.

And here I am SEVEN days later: alive.
